  • 2 9-inch Pie crust dough
  • 6 cups Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 0.75 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour.
  3. Roll out bottom pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Fill with apple mixture and dot with butter pieces.
  5. Roll out top crust and place over apples. Seal edges and cut vents.
  6. Brush top with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake 35 minutes more.
  8. Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve with ice cream!
