Ingredients

4 servings
  • 4 6oz pieces Salmon fillets
  • 4 tbsp Butter

    Suggested swaps

    Coconut oil ยท 1:1 ratio โ€” Works well in baking; adds slight coconut flavor
    Olive oil ยท 3:4 ratio โ€” Use ¾ cup oil per 1 cup butter; best for savory dishes
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 5 minutes without moving.
  4. Flip and cook for 3-4 minutes more until salmon flakes easily.
  5. Remove salmon and set aside. Lower heat to medium.
  6. Add butter and garlic to pan, cook for 1 minute.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Pour sauce over salmon and serve.

Tips & Notes

Don't move the salmon once you place it in the pan - let it develop a nice crust for 4-5 minutes before flipping.
