Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with pizza stone inside if you have one.
- Mix crushed tomatoes with garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil, and salt for sauce.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to 12-inch circle.
- Transfer dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet.
- Spread tomato sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Arrange mozzarella slices over sauce.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Top with fresh basil and drizzle with remaining olive oil before serving.
