Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pizza dough
  • 1 cup Crushed tomatoes
  • 8 oz Fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 0.5 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with pizza stone inside if you have one.
  2. Mix crushed tomatoes with garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil, and salt for sauce.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to 12-inch circle.
  4. Transfer dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet.
  5. Spread tomato sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
  6. Arrange mozzarella slices over sauce.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Top with fresh basil and drizzle with remaining olive oil before serving.

Tips & Notes

If you have a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven for at least 30 minutes for the crispiest crust!
